1. Find out what they have studied during the day.

2. Provide your child with a regular, quiet area where they can do their homework. Alternatively make sure you arrange your child’s attendance at the after school Study Studio.

3. Please take time to check your child’s organiser on a daily basis, this is a valuable way to monitor their homework, check for any possible rewards or sanctions and for the passing of simple messages to and from school.

4. Encourage your child to check their timetable the night before school, so that basic equipment, kit, ingredients, books and so forth are ready to bring in the following morning.

5. Check that uniform is correct. This will avoid immediate challenges by staff on arrival in school and starts the day well!

6. We always want for your child / ren, what we want for our own - please support the school and your child’s life opportunities by maintaining good levels of attendance, punctuality and behaviour.

7. Make sure your child has a good work life balance. School forms an important, but not singular part of a child’s development. We actively look for achievement and involvement in out of school activities – let us know!

8. Please monitor your child’s access to the internet, especially chat rooms. This area increasingly is causing difficulties and can make your child extremely vulnerable to undesirable contact and bullying.
