On 25th June 49 pupils from year 7 to year 11 headed down south to the busy city of London with 4 excited members of staff – Mrs Acton, Mr White, Ms Smith & Mrs Nuttall. After a good journey our first stop was at the BBC for a backstage tour. The afternoon was spent seeing a few sights and a trip round Covent Garden after a hearty meal at the famous Bubba Gump restaurant.
The highlight of the trip for many was our evening theatre visit to see The Lion King which was spectacular! Waking up in our hotel the following morning to see Zebra’s grazing, made us feel that we had been transported into the Lion King – or Africa at the very least. (Our hotel was in Chessington Zoo!)
On our final day we visited the famous Globe Theatre, had a trip on the London Eye and a tour round the scary London Dungeons. All the pupils (and the staff) were extremely well behaved and courteous and we all had a brilliant time.
